Stathis Efstathiadis
Was born in 1941 in Cairo Egypt. From 1956 to 1960, he undertook studies in Architectural Art at the “ SCUOLA DARTE LEONARDO DA VINCI ” ( Bachelor of Art in Cairo, Egypt.).
In 1975 he was awarded the Certificate of Photographic Art from the Ecole ABC de Paris-France. At the same time he becomes a member of the Hellenic Photographic Society (H.P.S.).
During the period 1980-1999, he undertook a number of important and responsible positions on the board of the H.P.S. as detailed below:
- Member of the board of H.P.S. as technical adviser from 1980.
- Chief Editor of the magazine “ Helliniki Photographia” (1983-1986). Magazine published quarterly by the H.P.S.
- General Curator from 1983 until 1995.
- FIAP Liaison officer for Greece from 1992 until 1997.
- Vice President of H.P.S. from 1996 until 1998 and 2001 until 2003.
- General Secretary of H.P.S. from 1999 until 2001.
Over an extended period of time he has utilized his own photographic facilities, such as darkroom, exhibiting his work at a number of local and international Photographic Competitions from 1975 to present. Additionally, he has been invited to the salons for international photographers, such as Photobound / Holland Biff 92 International Fotoforum.
He has been honored by FIAP with the title of ESFIAP for his long-term contribution to the artistic photography.
